Learn what Yess sequences are and how to use them.

What Are Sequences?

A sequence is a series of automated (or manual) outreach steps that let you scale your outbound efforts and measure their effectiveness. Sequences are purpose-built for modern outbound sales, featuring native AI capabilities and deep integration with the Yess platform. They can be constructed using a mix of email engagements (Send Email) and LinkedIn engagements (Send Connection Request, Send Message), or focus on just a single channel. Sequences can also incorporate Team Selling engagements, where communications are routed through a sponsor’s mailbox or LinkedIn account.

Sequence Overview

Every engagement, whether it’s a one-off interaction or part of a sequence, is built on top of Yess’s Team Selling capabilities. We believe that the sender is as important as—or even more important than—the right message. Therefore, you have the ability to select the sponsor (the person from whom the engagement will actually be sent) at each step of a sequence.

Sequence Templates

A sequence template is a pre-built sequence that you can use as a starting point for your own sequences. You can create your own templates or use the ones provided by Yess. The different types of sequence templates are:
  • My Templates: These templates are created by you.
  • Shared Templates: These templates are created by other users in your organization and shared with you.
  • Yess Templates: These templates are created by Yess and shared with you.

Steps

A step is the fundamental building block of a sequence. It can be one of two types: an Engagement or a Condition.

Engagement Steps

An engagement can have several options:
  • Author: The person who wrote the engagement—usually the SDR (Sales Development Representative)
  • Sender: The person who will actually send the engagement—typically a sponsor or the SDR themselves
  • Channel and Action: LinkedIn (Connect, Message) or Email (New Thread Email, Follow-up Email)
  • Weekends: An option to control whether the engagement will be sent on weekends
  • Delay: How many minutes, hours, or days to wait before this engagement is executed
